North Ridgeville, OH (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- Lake Ridge Academy students, Ami Ishikawa '17 and Yuna Ishikawa '15 have been selected to perform in the High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Ishikawa sisters will perform on February 10, 2014. The High School Honors Performance Series challenges elite students to perform at their very best, students rehearse and perform under master conductors and have the opportunity to perform before invited representatives from collegiate and professional music programs.
Yuna and Ami were both nominated by Lake Ridge Academy instrumental strings teacher, Tom Flowers. The sisters then auditioned and were accepted in October. Yuna and Ami would like to thank their mom, Mr. Flowers, Ms. Shaw, and everyone at Lake Ridge Academy. They would also like to thank Professor Milan Vitek at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, who they currently study with.
