Keihin Carolina System Technology Achieves Certification to ISO 50001 – Energy Management Systems Standard
Philadelphia, PA / Tarboro, NC / Stuttgart, Germany (PRWEB) December 21, 2013 -- DEKRA Certification, Inc. (DCI) conducted a dual-phase certification audit of the Energy Management System (EnMS) of Keihin Carolina System Technology (KCST) in Tarboro, NC. Based on the audit results, DCI has issued an ANAB accredited ISO 50001 certificate to KCST on December 9, 2013. The audit conducted by DEKRA, verified that KCST had effectively implemented an Energy Management System, and that the Tarboro, NC plant demonstrated continual energy performance improvement. The implementation and certification to this new international standard shows total commitment by the Keihin management to sustainability and environmental stewardship. In addition to being recognized as a Green Factory, Keihin’s Tarboro facility is also certified to TS16949, and ISO 14001. The new energy management system will allow the Tarboro facility to continually improve energy performance over time.
