"555 Days of Prayer to Save America" Planners Say "We Seek a God-Fearing Nation and World"

According to Robert Berry, the CEO and frequent spokesman of the "Save America Gathering" Christian non-profit, God can't tell the people and the nation of the United States of America much these days. The planner and leader of the Washington Monument inspired prayer initiative, "555 Days of Prayer to Save America," paused in the celebration of Jesus' birth and reflected upon the true sate of our relationship with God as a nation.
"We have a society that is ruled by a shadow power. It pits rich against poor, women against men, young against old, races against each other, different sexual preferences against each other. Wow, we sure are against each other, and we haven't been united, truly, since the terror attacks of 911," said Berry.
"I believe that the power keeps us undereducated and misinformed, for the sake of control. That power has set itself up against God, Almighty, for the sake of unrestrained power itself. Who could possibly be behind that? Satan!" Berry concluded.
Berry continued: "The earthly power does not listen to the scriptures. The earthly power does not seek the foot of the cross. And since the earthly power does hear and does not listen, the earthly power does not feed the great and yawning hunger that has spread throughout The United States of America; not the physical hunger, which, bad enough, in itself, has waxed strong in these uncaring times. I speak of the spiritual hunger which has led to an epidemic of suicides and suicidal violent acts, perpetrated all over the U.S.A. and even all over the world. Despair grips so many this Christmas. Depression smothers so many each Christmas Season."
"This is Christmas. I pray, along with the prayers I pray in intercession for our nation and people, for a reawakening of the quickened spirit of America. I pray for the achievement of more of The United States of America's spiritual potential. I pray that we undertake a new type of social evolution--one which brings mankind closer to God, and truth. I pray for you! All the participants of "555 Days of Prayer to Save America" are praying for you. We are serious about it, too! So, this Christmas, remember the promise of hope, in Jesus Christ: Yeshua Ha'Mashiach. Remember that He came to redeem us, and that the power of that redemption is available to all people, everywhere."
Berry added that the planners of the 555-day-long event are extending a warm invitation to Catholics everywhere, with a personal call to Latino Catholics, to join the prayer initiative, and pray through to its conclusion.
On Christmas Eve, "555 Days of Prayer to Save America" has reached day number 295. The current prayer of intercession for the sins of the United States of America has reached day 40 today. The 555-day-long prayer event will conclude on September 11, 2014, with "The Great Wave Offering," that is being planned, at present, by "Save America Gathering" staff.
