Big Motoring World, the UK’s largest independent used BMW dealership, got into the festive spirit by sponsoring the Medway Christmas light turn on in late November. The dealership worked alongside Heart FM Kent and Medway Council to fund the Christmas spectacular across the county and electrify the high streets of Gillingham, Rochester, Chatham and Strood.
Thousands of spectators flocked to soak up the Christmas cheer as the lights were switched on across Medway. As well as switching on the lights, there was a host of festivities taking place including sumptuous food stalls serving up speciality Christmas treats, like mince pies and warm chestnuts. Even Tom Pearce and James “Diags” Bennewith from the hit TV show: ‘The Only Way is Essex’ ventured across the border to join in the celebrations in Rochester.
Peter Waddell, Managing Director of Big Motoring World, admitted it was a “pleasure” to sponsor Medway’s Christmas spectacular and that everyone at the dealership was “proud” to be involved in the festivities, saying: “Sponsoring the lights in Medway has been a great opportunity for us to be involved with the community and the staff enjoyed attending the events.”
