Top Agent Magazine Records 2000th Edition of Elite Real Estate Publication
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 22, 2013 -- When Hollywood’s elite want to tell a story about their life, they look to People magazine. When the subject is the real estate industry’s elite, they turn to Top Agent Magazine.
The premier publication featuring top real estate agents from across the country as well as internationally has just recorded its 2000th edition. Top Agent Magazine seeks out top real estate producers by nomination for its cover stories in every market and is now available in all 50 states as thriving editions throughout Europe and Canada. Inside, the magazine also features up-and-coming agents in its Rising Stars section, affiliate profiles and features on standout community and real estate experts.
Unlike many other real estate publications and websites that cater to current news, trends, and rates, Top Agent set out with one goal and has never wavered. “We have always stayed focused on what we do, which is feature the top agents in the business,” said Top Agent publisher Jessica Fisher. “The magazine tells the agents’ stories: their background, their motivations, their techniques. We give an in-depth look at the challenges they have faced and celebrate their success. It’s basically a road map for any agent to follow if they want to be a successful agent. They get to go directly to the top.”
Top Agent is the brainchild of Fisher, an award-winning publisher. Building on her many years of publishing experience in the highly competitive Los Angeles market, Fisher launched the magazine in L.A. just as the market was heading for its most challenging period since the early ‘90s.
A less experienced publisher may have cut and run. Instead, Fisher improvised.
“I know the cycles of the real estate market, and I knew the market would come back,” said Fisher. “There was no lack of business during the downturn. Agents were still looking for inspiration—maybe even more so during that time.
“We changed our advertising pricing structure for affiliates like mortgage companies, title insurance companies, and other associated industries that wanted to continue to get in front of agents who were reading the magazine. It was a hard time for everyone, but despite the conditions, we never missed an issue and we grew our subscriber base and expanded into other markets at the same time. What better time to concentrate on expansion?”
Having begun in Los Angeles, one of the most competitive real estate cities in the nation, Top Agent was immediately embraced by the local real estate industry. Not surprisingly, many of the same agents you see featured on the cover of the L.A. edition are the same ones you will see on L.A.-based real estate TV programs like Selling L.A. and Million Dollar Listing. With improved market conditions nationwide, competition among agents for features has increased; some editions have waiting lists that measure more than a year.
It is the prestige of being featured on the cover combined with the unmatched marketing and branding potential offered by a feature in Top Agent that keeps agents interested. Because Top Agent is known as the premier resource for showcasing the best agents in the business, nominations are abundant among those who want to be recognized or recognize a peer. Top Agent’s cover features are determined by the publishing staff based on nominations. Information on the nomination process and forms can be found here.
“Top Agent showcases agents so positively and in an inspiring way for others. It shows that agents who work hard and become very successful are ‘accessible’ when many might think they aren’t, said Valerie Fitzgerald, Los Angeles Top Agent for Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills. “I have sent my articles out to my 15,000 person database and received great feedback from people all over the U.S. and Europe. My articles have been a great addition to my branding! I thank you for including me in Top Agent!”
Fitzgerald is well known as one of the most successful agents in the business and is just one of the agents across the country who has been featured on the cover of Top Agent multiple times. But many first-time features agents have stories as compelling as any you will ever here, like that of Atlanta’s Donna N. Hogan.
“Being chosen to be in the 2013 Top Agent Magazine has been an exciting and rewarding experience. Answering questions on why I left a VP position on Wall Street to become a Realtor, my experiences going through 9/11 and sticking it out through the tough years as a Realtor, was thrilling. I really enjoyed the prestige of being in Top Agent Magazine. I felt honored and validated for all the hard work I put in to receive such an acknowledgement. I was not only impressed with the beautiful outcome, it also allowed me to display the finished product on my website and on social media. It is easy to see why Top Agent Magazine is truly the leader in its industry.” You can read more testimonials here.
Added Fisher: “After hundreds and hundreds of features stories on top agents, there are still so many amazing, moving, inspirational stories, and that’s what we want to tell. As long as there are more agents out there with stories to tell and new agents or those thinking of becoming agents—who can be inspired by those stories, we’re going to keep doing what we’re doing.
