Brothers has a Masters degree in social work and and has been an owner, operator and educator in the senior care field for more than two decades. Brothers brings a passion for training and quality care to her work leading the team at the Institute for Professional Care Education (IPCed), a company dedicated to providing flexible training solutions for compliance and quality team building.
Brothers has deep expertise as an educator at all levels of the senior care services profession. She has also been involved in voluntary community organizations including facilitating support groups for families and serving on Area Agency on Aging advisory boards.
Her expertise and experience led Brothers to focus her efforts on training for direct care workers and others involved in elder caregiving, including family caregivers and leadership level professionals. She is an advocate for offering certification and training to all caregivers, giving them the skills they need to provide an increasingly high level of quality care to an aging population.
Brothers and her team have been involved in developing some leading-edge training programs that combine the best of online courses with instructor-led training for hands-on skills. These training programs are used extensively in partnership with colleges and career schools to train nursing assistants, home health aides and personal care aides.
