Looking forward to 2014, a survey of 138 professional psychics yielded mixed predictions for the economy and security situation in the United States as well as globally in the coming year.
Economic security will remain elusive for many Americans in the New Year, according to 50% of the psychics surveyed, while the other half predicted mere moderate economic gains. “Though the majority of people will believe that recovery is underway in 2014,” said Psychic Cassandra, “the lack of noticeable improvement will undermine their hopes for a more immediate prosperous future.”
Reflecting these so-so economic predictions, Psychic Diane said, “2014 will be a year of limbo economically.” To which she added this psychic apology: “Sorry, but this is the energy I am receiving on this matter.” In addition, nearly 60% of the psychics surveyed said the unemployment situation would not show much improvement in 2014.
Globally, when asked about the overall state of security, two-thirds of the psychics said the world would not be safer in 2014 than in previous years. “The sources of extreme weather as well as extreme groups of people still set things in motion!” said Psychic Sofia. Nevertheless, Psychic Therese saw reasons for optimism within the U.S.: “I think that many dangers will be there, as always, but I think that as a nation and as individuals, we are becoming more knowledgeable in how to deal with dangers and the value of security measures.”
Looking at attitudes toward President Obama, nearly 70% of the psychics said our Chief Executive’s approval ratings would not improve in 2014. Representing the dissenting 30% who foresee Obama’s star rising in 2014, Psychic Elennoire predicted: “He will go further than President of the US, further than recipient of the Nobel Prize. He will become a spiritual leader.”
Picking up the spiritual theme, many of the psychics said 2014 will be a year in which spirituality will become more important, as Psychic Rosemary explained: “We live in a volatile time period as the Pluto/Uranus square continues to dredge up revolutionary and explosive energies in governments around the globe. Ultimately, this pattern will help people in the world achieve more equality and better civil rights, but we haven't yet reached the conclusion.”
