Testing The Accuracy Of Bio-Mechanical Data Like Vertical Oscillation Is Also On The Agenda.

Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) December 24, 2013

Heart rate monitor testing, for products like the Garmin Forerunner 620, in a professional Human Performance Lab environment is the top priority for 2014 at the Heart Rate Watch Company.

The Definitive Source

"We will be the only retail company with the hard data measured against ECG to determine which heart rate monitors are accurate and which are not," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "Nobody else has this kind of program and it will make our company the definitive source of data on product accuracy on devices like the Garmin Forerunner 220."

"We have no intention of sharing this data but we will score product on a scale of 1 to 100, with 100 perfectly matching an ECG," says Squire. He adds, "There are lots of people parallel testing monitors but that proves nothing other than how they track each other, when it is how accurate they are relative to an ECG that really matters."

"If you would like to read more regarding our testing program you can visit the Heart Rate Watch Company blog," says Squire.

The Cutting Edge

"We will be taking products like the new Polar Loop, the Polar H7 strap and the new Garmin Forerunner 620 into the lab setting to work with Master's level students in Human Performance, coupled with NCAA athletes," says Squire. He adds, "This type of program has never been undertaken by anyone in the industry and it is time."

"Measuring the accuracy of heart rate and calorie data is key because in parallel testing there can be some significant deviations between products," says Squire. He adds, "Scoring the products will allow us to develop the finest data bank in the country and armed with this information we will be the definitive source for quality information."

Distance Measurement Accuracy

"The Heart Rate Watch Company already owns a DOT wheel measurement system and has reported some on the distance accuracy of various devices in the past," says Squire. He adds, "This program will be stepped up in the New Year and, combined with the heart rate and calorie accuracy data, all results will be posted on our blog just like the Suunto Ambit 2 test we did early this year."

Boldly Go Where No Company Has Gone Before

"When we say we are the definitive experts on heart rate, we mean it, and we are seriously committed to helping customers find the ideal solutions," says Squire. He adds, "There are a lot of companies that make inferior products and this type of testing exposes them."

"If you'd like to talk to a real expert then simply call us at 866-586-7129," says Squire.
