NAKIVO v3.9 Beta Enables Early Testing by Cloud Service Providers Planning to Offer Backup-as-a-Service for VMware Environments
Campbell, CA (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- NAKIVO Inc., #1 virtualization data protection software provider, has announced today the availability of NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9 Beta featuring industry-first Multi-Tenancy, Self-Service and Dynamic License Allocation.
Managed Services, Cloud, and Hosting Providers can leverage multi-tenancy and self-service features to extend their services to Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), Replication-as-a-Service (RaaS), and Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), for VMware vSphere ESXi environments.

Multi-Tenancy
NAKIVO introduces the Beta version of the industry-first Multi-Tenancy feature to the VM backup market. Now enterprises and service providers can test protect multiple business units and customers through a single interface while each business unit or customer will only have access to their own data through a self-service interface. See a Multi-Tenancy video to learn more: http://www.nakivo.com/v4_overview.htm#videot2.
Self-Service
In the Multi-Tenant mode, service providers can grant their tenant clients the view-only privileges to data protection jobs, or create local admin roles, shifting the backup, replication, and recovery tasks to the local tenant admins. This way clients can recover files and VMs themselves without the service provider’s assistance.
Dynamic License Allocation
License allocation within NAKIVO Backup & Replication Enterprise Edition supports transferring licenses dynamically from one tenant to another as needed for cloud service providers or from one business unit to another as need for enterprises.
General Availability
NAKIVO Backup & Replication v3.9 will be available in 2014.
