American Made Dorm & Home Manufacturing Plant Expands
Louisville, Kentucky (PRWEB) December 27, 2013 -- American Made Dorm & Home has experienced rapid growth that has resulted in the expansion of their mill, Webster Enterprises, in North Carolina. New space has been added and as of year end, five new employees have been hired, a result of the growing needs for cut and sew by American Made Dorm & Home and their new baby division, Liz and Roo Fine Baby Bedding.
In Western North Carolina, where Webster is located, the economy has taken its toll in recent years, with the unemployment rate hitting a high of 11.3% in January, 2013. "Watching new employees being added to the mill roster is part of our underlying mission to support made in USA manufacturing," stated Caroline Eager, President of American Made Dorm & Home.
American Made Dorm & Home was formed in 2011 to provide college and boarding school students a high quality, USA made dorm bedding option. The "dorm bundle" consists of products that are 100% made in America. As the business has grown, the need for new space and new employees has grown in tandem. Less than one year ago, American Made Dorm & Home business expanded with the addition of baby bedding under the name Liz and Roo. "We now serve over 100 independent retailers around the country, providing baby bedding made in the USA, which is extremely popular with new parents," stated Caroline Eager. Manufacturing quality baby bedding requires strong cut and sew skills and special equipment, and Webster has met all their needs.
American Made Dorm & Home is a SWaM-certified, women owned business that has also been certified by Made in US-Certified. The company manufactures dorm and home bedding, and in addition, baby bedding under "Liz and Roo." The company is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.
