Jenko Kent moved from Australia to New York’s Hudson Valley in 2012 to work with Cindel Krajewski, a fellow video consultant and movie maker. The two met working in Australia where they realized their common passions and ethics and hence formed Stage 6 Media to focus on what they do best, promoting a business by telling its story in an entertaining and compelling way.
With the advent of YouTube and videos on an increasing number of websites, society is starting to expect good video. People don’t want to read a book on chess strategy when they can watch someone actually do it and people don’t want to read an About Us page when they can watch a two minute video that markets the company in an enjoyable way.
Businesses are scrambling to catch up with this new marketing strategy by adding video. It can’t be just any video though. As with most things, the more we watch, the more selective we become. A home page video for instance has two minutes or less to explain the product or service, show differentiation, and build trust; all while being interesting enough to keep the viewer’s attention.
