The Bill Howe Family of Companies has been the recipient of many local awards, as well as another National Contractor award in 2011, presented by the Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractor’s National Association and Delta Faucet Company. The San Diego plumber values education and training within the industry, as evidenced by the amount of Bill Howe employees enrolled in the PHCC 4-year Journeyman Apprenticeship Program and newly opened HVACR training school. The company pays for 100 percent tuition, materials and books not covered by the many scholarships the employees have earned outside of the company. They also care for the health and wellbeing of their employees and have a full wellness program offered to all employees and their family members to focus on health and longevity in the labor-intensive work of the plumbing and heating trade.
In the community, the Bill Howe Family of Companies has unmatched generosity and regularly donates to organizations such as the American Heart Association, the San Diego Burn Institute, employee sponsored endeavors, the Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station and continual pro bono plumbing work for those in need. During Mader’s visit, the company was hosting a gourmet appreciation lunch for customers while raising toys for the USMC “Toys for Tots.”
