World Energy Center Extends Government Relations Contract with Hales Global Group, LLC
Washington, DC (PRWEB) December 27, 2013 -- Hales Global Group LLC today announced a two-year extension to its ongoing relationship with World Energy Center. Since 2009 Hales Group has provided business consulting and advisory services while helping World Energy Center navigate the public policy, regulatory and funding vehicles under the Obama Administration.
World Energy Center, http://www.worldenergyusa.com, is a world-class consortium of more than 30 companies, cities, colleges, participants’ partners and affiliates. The collaborative team, assembled and managed by World Energy USA collectively employs more than 1,000 people and generate annual revenues in excess of $250 billion. The Center’s comprehensive approach aims to solve the challenges facing the clean energy industry and will collaborate with several leading universities and colleges to rapidly advance clean energy research, educational curriculums and job training programs.
As United States Secretary of Energy, Dr. Ernest Moniz is tasked with implementing the Department’s mission in support of President Obama’s goals of growing the economy, enhancing security and protecting the environment; World Energy not only advances all of President Obama’s energy strategy but promotes American leadership in science and clean energy technology innovation while reaching to meet the worlds energy needs using clean technology.
According to World Energy Center Chairman, David Joseph, “there has been strong government support for the implementation of renewable energy solutions.” In 2001, the Los Angeles City Council approved the Green Power Purchasing Program, one of the largest purchases of renewable green power in the U.S. At the time, ten percent of the city government’s electricity purchases went towards new, clean, renewable energy sources with commitments from Los Angeles World Airports and the city’s water system. “In the spirit of furthering green energy applicability, I am hopeful that Mayor Garcetti will expand upon clean energy solutions used by the city government as the cost for solar energy has drop below conventional power sources equaling significant cost savings.”
Under the leadership of Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service’s Global Energy industry initiative seeks the most recent market research in Power Generation, and Renewable Energy industries, we believe that World Energy is the working solution. According to Secretary Pritzker, energy is the vital force powering U.S. business both in America and to economies worldwide. With an estimated $500 billion dollars spent on energy annually in the U.S., energy supply and demand continue to play a pivotal role in our national security and the economic output of our nation.
