“The presence of The Bar Method in Fairfield essentially brings our story full-circle and we couldn’t be more excited to have Bridget and Caitlin at the helm,” said Lisa Donohue, Director of Marketing, Sales and Operations.
San Francisco, CA and Fairfield, CT (PRWEB) December 31, 2013
The newest Bar Method® studio is opening tomorrow in Fairfield, CT. This is the first Bar Method studio in Connecticut and it brings the total number of exercise studios for the company in the US and Canada to 76 with many more planned openings around the country in the coming year.
The Bar Method exercise system merges the principles of isometrics, interval training and dance conditioning while emphasizing sculpting more than other barre workouts by targeting the muscles that play the largest role in changing the shape of the body. Clients around the country appreciate how the method quickly and safely reshapes, burns fat and elongates muscles. The fitness sensation draws a celebrity clientele including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston and Kristen Bell.
The Bar Method instructors receive extensive training in healthy patterns of movement and are able to assist with modifications to accommodate all types of client needs including variations for pregnant women. Clients receive personalized instruction and hands-on adjustment to ensure safety and create strong, flexible, aligned bodies.
The sister duo of Bridget McBride and Caitlin Giambalvo are thrilled to be opening a Bar Method studio in their hometown of Fairfield, a community dedicated to health and fitness. Burr Leonard, the Bar Method’s Founder and CEO, opened her first barre-based exercise studio in 1992 in Greenwich before ultimately starting The Bar Method brand in San Francisco in 2000. “The presence of The Bar Method in Fairfield essentially brings our story full-circle and we couldn’t be more excited to have Bridget and Caitlin at the helm,” said Lisa Donohue, Director of Marketing, Sales and Operations.
Bridget, a former TV host, found her true passion when she began teaching the Bar Method in Hermosa Beach, CA in 2008. After having her son, she realized she wanted The Bar Method to be her full-time job and returned home to partner with her sister on opening their very own studio.
Caitlin’s love affair with The Bar Method began after taking Bridget’s class when she visited her sister in California. It was during this class that she experienced the telltale shaking of her muscles for the first time and “thought her legs might fall off”, but was instantly hooked knowing that the technique and exercises were working. With a new baby of her own, leaving the corporate world for a far more rewarding career as a Bar Method studio owner was a very easy decision.
Located at Fairfield’s Sportsplex at 85 Mill Plain Road, the new studio space was designed with the brand's high standards highlighted with gray oak wood finishes and chic neutral color palette with turquoise and sea glass accents. The location includes an exercise studio, a spa-like locker room and a retail area with branded merchandise.
