Attorney Hudaidah Bhimdi Ahmed Becomes Junior Partner at Fayad Law, P.C.

Attorney Hudaidah Bhimdi Ahmed, one of the Virginia immigration lawyers on the firm’s legal team, will carry this new title starting on Jan. 1, 2014. In addition to this new role, Attorney Ahmed also manages Fayad Law’s offices in Washington, DC and Falls Church, Virginia. She is a passionate immigration attorney who has been recognized on multiple occasions as a leader in her local legal community.
Attorney Ahmed has been involved with hundreds of cases that have gone before immigration judges in a number of different jurisdictions. She has represented thousands of clients, including individuals and businesses, in cases involving a diverse range of immigration law matters. In addition to her professional experience, Ms. Ahmed also has firsthand experience as an immigrant. She was born in Karachi, Pakistan, but her family immigrated to the United States, where they became citizens. She grew up witnessing the types of sacrifices that immigrants make so that their children can have better lives and accomplish the American Dream. Today, Attorney Ahmed solely practices immigration law and nationality law, with a special focus in the areas of status violations, employment-based immigration and family-based immigration.
Ms. Ahmed has been recognized for her legal abilities and her extensive service to her community. In 2013, Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell appointed the attorney as a member of the Virginia Asian Advisory Board, a position that carries a four-year term. This is a board that provides counsel to the Governor concerning issues that affect Virginia’s Asian population. In the past, she has served as Secretary and a board member for the Pakistani Association of Central Virginia and the Asian American Society of Central Virginia. She has also been a member of the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce and of a number of other professional organizations.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in international studies, the Virginia immigration lawyer obtained her master’s degree in public administration. She then went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Richmond. Before and during her time in law school, Attorney Ahmed had the opportunity to serve as a court-appointed guardian ad litem, as an intern at the Office of Civil Rights for the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and as an intern for the Honorable Judge Pedro Echarte, Jr. at the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.
