Lobster and Bar: Freshest New Seafood Restaurant Concept to Open in Fort Lauderdale Combines Best of Both
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) June 30, 2013 -- The foodie anticipation and social buzz is building as construction of the Lobster Bar Sea Grille restaurant nears completion on one of South Florida’s most notable and most affluent streets, Las Olas Boulevard.
Atlanta-based Buckhead Life Restaurant Group is known for unique experiences at each of its restaurants. The Fort Lauderdale Lobster Bar Sea Grille will be Buckhead Life’s third major restaurant in South Florida.
As the concept for the newest addition to the family promises, guests will enjoy pristine seafood, live lobsters and prime steaks in a fresh, upscale casual atmosphere.
Ambiance is a special ingredient. Filled with modern-contemporary nautical touches, the experience will leave you feeling like you have just dined on a luxury yacht. Beautiful tiled archways and custom lighting give the dining room a more intimate feel.
The restaurant recently announced that Eric Baker will serve as executive chef at Lobster Bar Sea Grille. He joined the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group in 2008 as Executive Sous Chef at Chops Lobster Bar in Boca Raton. At the Lobster Bar Sea Grille, Baker is most excited about making the fish prepared whole with lemon, olive oil and capers — “I love how simplistic it can be,” Baker explained. “It showcases the pristine, unadulterated nature of the fish.”
Chef Baker values fusing international flavors into his creations, and has studied the culture and cuisine of several countries including China, India, Spain and France to properly do so.
“I like to take my classic background and training and morph it using my travel experiences. It makes the experience very unique,” Baker said.
Also joining the Lobster Bar Sea Grille team is beverage director Ramien Balouch. Balouch previously served in the same position at Buckhead Life’s Bistro Niko in Atlanta. He is a former bartender who loves to hone his skills by crafting new cocktails, as well as pairing wines with all sorts of cuisines.
As the menu evolves, the restaurant will offer previews to fans who sign up for the menu preview list on the facebook page Lobster Bar Sea Grille and twitter followers of @lobsterbarsg. To stay in tune with the opening, follow the conversations on the hashtags #lobsterbar #lbsg #lasolas and #fortlauduerdale as well as the popular #foodporn hashtag on Instagram Lobster Bar Sea Grille where food share pictures will be found after the summer opening.
Las Olas Boulevard is a popular thoroughfare in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that runs from Andrews Avenue in the Central Business District to A1A and Fort Lauderdale Beach.
It is home to many shops, businesses and celebrities including Gloria Vanderbilt and former vice president Dan Quayle.
Lobster Bar Sea Grille also promises to be the place to gather for lunch or after hours for people who work at major companies in the area, including AutoNation, Microsoft Latin America, American Airlines and Royal Caribbean.
Once inside, a vibrant, comfortable lounge welcomes guests to relax and dine with friends and colleagues, while the fully covered patio with cushioned furniture is ideal for cocktails and light outdoor dining.
“The site selection could not have been better,” Karatassos said. “The corner of Las Olas Boulevard and southeast 3rd Street is surrounded by densely populated, luxury high-rise condominiums and office towers and was once the 9,000 square foot home of the iconic Jackson 450 Steakhouse.”
