The Bangor State Fair Officially Announces Second Annual Sanctioned National Lobster Roll Competitive Eating Championship
Bangor, Maine (PRWEB) July 01, 2013 -- In what has been referred to as “The Most Delicious Competitive Eating Championship in America”, The Bangor State Fair in Maine will again host The National Lobster Roll Eating Championship which is scheduled to take place at the racetrack grandstand at The Bangor State Fair on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The World’s only recognized Independent Competitive Eating organization, All Pro Eating, will officially sanction the National Eating Championship where $1,400.00 in prize money will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers along with identifying the true National Lobster Roll Eating Champion. In addition to several local participants, All Pro Eating will be featuring some of the Nation’s top Independent Competitive Eaters including the #1 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater in the World, Jamie “The Bear” McDonald.
Last year’s National Lobster Roll Eating Championship was one of the entertainment highlights at the ten day Bangor State Fair. The fair provides a family friendly venue that includes food, contests, rides, entertainment and other activities and attractions. The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship was developed for both Professional and Amateur/Local Competitive Eaters.

The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship will include participation from the #1 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater in the World, Jamie “The Bear” McDonald who is undefeated in each of his eight All Pro Eating Competitive Eating Championships. Last year’s National Lobster Roll Eating Championship winner and current National Lobster Roll Eating Champion, #2 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, Eric “Silo” Dahl will also participate as will #4 Ranked Independent Competitive Eater, “Gentleman” Joe Menchetti who finished second in 2012’s National Lobster Roll Eating Championship and last year’s Third Place finisher and local resident, Al “Barney” Morrill. All Competitive Eaters will try to beat last year's total of 37 Lobster Rolls in 8 Minute. The Bangor State Fair National Lobster Roll Eating Championship is open to anyone 18 years of age or older who would like to participate.
