Articulture Issues an Apology to Those Offended by Recent Commercial
Fort Meyers, FL (PRWEB) July 02, 2013 -- Articulture wants to apologize to any of the tattoo shops in Fort Myers or artists that were offended by the recent airing of the latest Articulture radio commercial. The intention of airing this radio spot was not designed to belittle any particular business, but to make the public aware of the fact that there are many inferior tattoo shops out there, which are conducting what Articulture believes to be poor business practices. In addition, Articulture wanted to make these "less than stellar" tattoo shops aware of some of the poor work that their artists may be putting out.
"Being one of the newer tattoo shops in Fort Myers, we have seen a great deal of inferior work produced by some of these local artists. Some of them lack creativity, and the methods used are not up to date," said Articulture Founder, John Improta. "I have seen tattoos placed on people that should have been turned away. Tattoo shops should always look at what's best for the client, and for the industry, not what's going to make them a quick, easy buck! If a young girl comes into a shop on a whim, and wants the majority of her body covered in black ink, the tattoo shop or artist should know better than to proceed with what they know will later be perceived as a mistake."
Improta reports that he has observed more bad tattoos coming out of these southern Florida shops than good ones, and wants to assure the public that there are tattoo shops, such as Articulture, that employ quality artists who are actually worthy of being called "tattoo artists."
Improta wants to open the eyes of some of these local shop owners to the inferior work that their artists are putting out. He believes that there should be higher qualification standards, better training and more work critiquing before they allow their new artists (who have simply passed the mandated tattoo testing) to start doing their thing. Many of them are ignoring safety standards, risking infection to their customers. Improta further reports that many of these low-rate shops are putting out tattoos that rank very poor in quality, using no shading, no blending and tattooing young people that don't really know what they are doing.
"My expectations of the other tattoo shops are not unrealistic, as Articulture is living up to the standards that I'm talking about. We are the only Better Business Bureau accredited tattoo establishment in the Southern Florida area," said Improta. "We know that by looking out for the safety and well-being of our customers, we are paying tribute to them, as well as the entire tattoo industry. We are setting the standards of what we feel should be the norm."
