“What makes this homeschool different is the scope and vision of the project.“

Global private tuition provider, Tutors International, are to be involved in the set up and continued development of an exciting education project in Maysville, Kentucky.
A married tutoring couple are currently being sought for the full-time home-schooling of five children from the same family. The client hopes this small homeschool will grow to become a center of excellence in this area, bringing families into Maysville, and producing highly qualified, broadly educated graduates to boost the town’s economy.
Adam Caller, who founded Tutors International in 1999, commented, “It is not unusual for companies to provide full-time home schooling for their employees’ children, particularly if the area is very rural and there are no good schools nearby. What makes this homeschool different is the scope and vision of the project. Together, we – Tutors International, the client, and the tutors – will be creating a legacy that brings people into Maysville, for jobs and for exceptional education.”
The school will adopt an Anglo-American curriculum that from the start encompasses the full range of traditional core subjects – Maths, Science and Technology, Language Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Expressive and Performing Arts, and Sports. The aim is to create a stimulating and rigorous learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration within an framework of good discipline and conservative values.
When the school is fully formed there will need to be a broad cross-curricular interrelationship that includes applied engineering skills such as computing and computer science, design technology, graphic design, woodwork and metalwork, craft, and manufacturing. The school will be encouraged to draw on local skills and knowledge in the development and implementation of these skills.
As the school grows the plan is that the student-teacher ratio will not exceed 8:1. It will be a truly international school that encourages foreign languages and international qualifications, such as the British IGCSE and A level alongside a US grade-level approach, and will possibly seek IBO accreditation.
Mr Caller continued, “This is a truly exceptional opportunity to be part of a legacy project. For us and the tutors we appoint to found the school, it’s a chance to apply all our combined knowledge and expertise in education to provide something of real value for the area.”
