TargetClick Raises Funds for Cancer Research UK
(PRWEB) July 03, 2013 -- When Josi set out on her challenge, her intention was to raise just £50; however the final figure came to £463 thanks to generous donations made from affiliates and merchants, as well as her family, friends and the Twist Digital team.
Every year, Race for life brings thousands of women together to help beat cancer by running or walking 5k and 10k races across Great Britain. Race for life has come such a long way since its beginning in 1994 where just 680 participants took part. Today race for life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK and more than 2,500 women took part in the Sutton Coldfield race alone.
To help raise even more cash, Josi turned to the affiliates and merchants involved with Twist Digital. TargetClick is one of the Twist digital affiliate networks. Josi says, "The 10 week training program has paid off and I managed to run my best time for a 10km run. Twist Digital LLP as well as my TargetClick clients and affiliates fully supported the cause and with the majority of us having our lives touched by cancer in some way, we were looking forward to raising as much money as we could. I’m well chuffed with the result and hope that we could contribute to improve the prospects of thousands of cancer sufferers. I’m convinced that we will participate in further charity events in the future as we want to make a difference!"
