Impact Entrepreneur and Investor Comments on the How the U.S. Government Can Accelerate the Impact Economy
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 01, 2013 -- On July 1, impact entrepreneur and investor, Philippe van den Bossche, comments on how the U.S. government can accelerate the impact investing economy.
According to a June 27th, 2013 article in Forbes.com, titled, “How the U.S. Government Can Accelerate the Impact Economy,” there has been building momentum for our country’s government to play a more vital role in the impact economy. This is where “social entrepreneurs who have sustainable business models to generate both profit and good, meet impact investors who want to invest in their ideas.”
Recently, the Obama administration announced its National Impact Investing Initiative (NII) at the G8 Social Impact Investing Forum. The article goes on to state three ways the federal government can “catalyze growth” in the impact economy.
• Build Infrastructure: The government can create foundations for the impact economy in order to increase the “flow of capital.”
• Incentivize private sector investment: The government can “encourage private sector investment through regulatory adjustments and clarifications as well as tax policies.”
• Develop new programs and re-purpose existing ones: The government can provide “excellent citizens services” while saving the taxpayers money by re-purposing existing initiatives and programs that already focus on social impact.
Philippe van den Bossche, a New-York based impact entrepreneur and investor and Chairman/Owner of Advancing Eco Agriculture, is optimistic about the country’s anticipated larger role in the growth of the impact industry. “Our country’s proposed plan to support the growth of social impact investing will allow important initiatives, which provide positive societal impacts, to get the proper needed funding.”
Philippe van den Bossche is an impact entrepreneur and investor and Chairman/ Owner of Advancing Eco Agriculture (AEA), a leading organic agricultural and horticultural consulting and manufacturing company located in Middlefield, Ohio provides farm consulting services and specialty nutritional materials.
