Burlington, KY (PRWEB) July 05, 2013
The 8th Annual 4th For Our Soldiers Event is being held this year in the Arborwood Subdivision in Burlington, KY from 4pm to midnight on Saturday, July 6th. A dinner of hot dogs, brats, hamburgers and side dishes will be available at 6:30pm, and an amazing Rozzi’s Fireworks display will begin at 10:30pm. The celebration also includes many exciting performances, such as a demonstration of Vintage Military Warbirds and a performance by the Kentucky State Champion Drill Team, the Young Guns. Team Fastrax is scheduled to perform their patriotic display at 7:30pm with their 2,000 sq. ft. American Flag, and 2 red, white, and blue streamers.
According to the 4th For Our Soldiers website, for the past 8 years they have had a celebration in honor of those soldiers stationed overseas and the sacrifices that their families make so we can live in this great country. They want to show their appreciation to the families of our military personnel for their sacrifice, and to continue to celebrate and honor our Military’s Heroes. There are still thousands stationed all over the world, and many are recovering from multiple deployments.
John Hart, owner of Start Skydiving, and member of Team Fastrax, said “We are honored to be performing our American Flag skydive for such an amazing cause. Our soldiers risk their lives every day to protect the freedoms that we so cherish.”
This year, the 4th For Our Soldiers organization is asking for all attending to contribute $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family. This monetary donation will go toward funding Scholarships of local High School Seniors who have had a parent killed or wounded in military action. They will also be funding scholarships in the name of local service men and women who have lost their lives in military service at their local High Schools. They will still accept items to be shipped in care packages as well. All items need to be non-perishable and they ask, please no magazines.
Team Fastrax is sponsored by Selection.com, a leading provider of criminal background checks and pre-employment screening services. They are the most ambitious professional skydiving team in the world. The team has a roster of more than twenty-nine active members, with a culmination of more than 300,000 skydives. Team Fastrax has performed exhibition skydives all over the world for audiences large and small as a patriotic display or as a product promotion.
