McLean, VA (PRWEB) July 03, 2013 -- The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) Foundation and Ford Motor Company Fund are pleased to announce that Anna Lee, New York University, Class of 2016 and Marisch Perera, Pace University, Class of 2015, are the scholarship recipients of the “Emerging Voices” program. The students were formally announced as winners during the Gracie Awards Luncheon on June 26 in New York.
The “Emerging Voices” Scholarship program consists of two $2,500 scholarships, made payable directly to each student’s educational institute in the name of Ford Motor Company Fund. The winning students will write original content that will be featured on AWM’s website during the upcoming months.
“Ford believes that effective and diverse communications are critical for a community that works for all,” said Jim Vella, president, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services. “This program offers the next generation of leaders an opportunity to develop and expand their voice.”
“The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation is proud to continue our long association with Ford Motor Company Fund by this scholarship program,” said AWMF President Erin M. Fuller. “We congratulate Anna and Marisch on winning the Emerging Voices scholarships, and we look forward to sharing their outstanding work on our website and in our blog in the coming months.”
Each winning student will produce three to four separate pieces of content for AWM between July 1, 2013 and November 1, 2013. One of these pieces will be written about the student’s experience attending the Gracie Awards Luncheon. Content will be announced and showcased on http://www.allwomeninmedia.org as well as AWM’s social media outlets.
