Sherri Adler to attend CAMT for SMARTTraining

Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) July 01, 2013

SMARTTraining will be returning to San Antonio for the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) on July 10 through July 12. SMARTTraining has previously filled rooms up to standing room only at CAMT and are excited to return to such an energizing math environment.

While at the conference Sherri Adler will host two hands-on presentations, one is focusing on using manipulatives to teach place value, and the other about mental math games with playing cards. Adler is particularly excited about how beneficial the math games session will be. “Teachers spend so much of their own money in their classrooms that it is nice to share hands-on ideas that won’t cost an arm and leg,” she said. As for focusing on using manipulatives, Sherri added, “I enjoy seeing teachers’ get excited when they discover how successful they will become when teaching regrouping to their students.”

This is a great event for teachers and education as a whole. There will also be a SMARTTraining booth (#4020) throughout the conference.
