Is Corporate America Ready to “Do Lunch Different”?
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 03, 2013 -- A new start-up will soon dish out a new lunch option to corporate America. ZinkUz, a Dallas based company, has developed a new social media tool to benefit employees of mid-sized to large organizations.
Until now there’s really only been two options for eating lunch within an organization. Employees could either eat alone or eat with the same people. ZinkUz has developed a social app with a twist to help corporations “Do Lunch Different.” Through its patent-pending process, ZinkUz connects random co-workers together to eat lunch with one another within an organization.
“Social media sites focus on who you know. At ZinkUz, we focus on who you don’t know,” says Mala Brough, the inventor of ZinkUz. “When employees launch ZinkUz from their web browser or smart phone, they will be on their way to meet with a random co-worker or co-workers they may not have met with before. This allows for better understanding of the company culture and gives employees a fun way to get plugged-in with the rest of their organization.”
Why would a company want its employees randomly eating lunch with one another? There are several benefits to the organizations; it will help drive innovation, strengthen cultures, improve productivity and increase the bottom line. A Robert Half International survey revealed that 63 percent of employees said office productivity increases when interoffice friendships exist.
“The app brings people together in ways that benefit both the employee and the company - so it’s a win for everyone,” said Brough. “The advantage to employees is they get to meet new people, gain new insight, grow their careers, share experiences and use something that is fun and exciting.”
ZinkUz is currently in its testing phase with a large Seattle based customer. Once testing is completed, ZinkUz can be served hot and ready to corporate businesses throughout the world that are ready to “Do Lunch Different.”
“It’s hard to imagine that sending out 256 character text messages would change the world, but Twitter did it. We envision a day when ZinkUz will be inside every business, university, church, and expo enabling people to Do Lunch Different”.
