This partnership was create at CARILEC’s Occupational Health & Safety, Human Resource & Disaster Management Conference back in March of 2013, when Vivid Learning Systems’ Utility Manager, Shawn Simon, met with CARILEC’s Training Lead, Laurena Primus, to discuss how a formal partnership would assist the membership to reach their workforce development and safety training goals.
“I was very happy to attend the conference this year. It was a fascinating opportunity to get to know how electrical utility companies in the Caribbean provide electricity and deliver safety training to a dispersed workforce in multiple islands. Everyone at the meeting was eager to learn new ways to provide more effective safety training, reduce costs and streamline training tracking and reporting, as well as what mobile learning can provide utilities in the future,” said Shawn Simon, Utility Manager for Vivid Learning Systems.
