Rick Otton Shows The Way Out For “Generation Rent”
(PRWEB) July 02, 2013 -- A new report has revealed that it will take 6-11 years for the average couple to save a mortgage deposit for a property outside of London – and an average of 14 years for a single person. In response, property investment expert Rick Otton has revealed his strategies for using non-traditional property investment strategies that just about anyone can use to get into the UK market much sooner.
The analysis, commissioned by homeless charity Shelter, also found that a single person looking to buy in London would take on average 30 years to get a big enough deposit together to buy a house in the traditional way – with a bank mortgage. The news isn’t much better for couples, with an 11 year wait to buy a house—and if you want to have kids, add another decade to that.
“I think it’s a terrible shame that people’s property goals are being pushed further and further away because they don’t know how to invest in property with no deposit. This is exactly why I do what I do, so I can show people the path to financial freedom and long term wealth,” said Mr Otton.
Regional housing crisis
The Shelter report also shows that the while London is the worst, the story doesn’t get much better in the rest of the country. In almost two-thirds of the country, a couple with a child would have to save for a deposit for more than ten years.
“I strongly believe it’s time to change the way we view property investment in the UK. With low levels of housing stock and an increasingly expensive rental market, rent to buy property options offer a way to get ahead,” said Mr Otton.
The Shelter report highlights the potential for a significant impact on families across the UK due to the long wait to buy a house. It reveals that a lot of young people will face years on the rental merry-go-round, with rising rent prices and unstable housing. Equally unpalatable is the option of living well into their thirties with their parents.

“My property millionaire secrets help the average person get in to real estate investment without saving for a third of your life just for the ‘privilege’ of being able to have a giant bank loan,” said Mr Otton.

Using his methods, people can get into the market without needing a deposit or access to a bank mortgage.
