Company continues their tradition of strong support for the non-profit event. For this year’s Rodeo, they have taken on a greater leadership role.

Red Noland Auto Group will play a large role in this year’s upcoming Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo scheduled for July 10-13th at the Norris-Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. The nonprofit event is one of the top rodeos in the country and proceeds from the rodeo go towards supporting local military charities.

Mike Jorgensen, Red Noland Cadillac President, is serving as this year’s president of the all-volunteer Rodeo’s Board of Directors. Jorgensen said, “Red Noland is proud to be a part of this premiere rodeo event that helps to preserve our Western heritage while at the same time supporting such a great cause as our local military families.”

The Red Noland Auto Group has strong ties to the area having been in business since 1974 with their highly successfully Cadillac, Land Rover, Infiniti, and Jaguar dealerships. Also the group includes the state-of-the-art Collision Center and the Red Noland Pre-Owned Center that is widely recognized as one of the best Colorado Springs used car dealerships. They offer one of the largest inventories of quality used trucks in the Springs.

Not only do Red Noland employees volunteer their time at the Rodeo, but the company generously contributes to the event as well as does their share of fundraising. Jorgensen went on to say, “It is one of the ways we can give back to the community. We encourage everyone in the area to get out and enjoy the wholesome family fun.”

A longtime Colorado Springs tradition, the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo first started in 1937 and attracts some of the top cowboys and cowgirls from around the country to compete for almost $200,000 in prize money. The event is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and is attended by nearly 30,000 people each year. Some of the top highlights include bull riding, bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, and a crowd favorite, the mutton bustin’. There is food and lots of pre-show activities on the grounds such as gold panning, trick rope demos, and pony rides just to name a few.
