FMC Corporation (NYSE: FMC) announced today that it will attend the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting & Food Expo from July 13 – July 16 in Chicago, Ill., marking the first time FMC will present its pectin and natural color products at the IFT. More than 20,000 of the top food science and technology professionals from around the world, representing the most prominent organizations in the global food sector, are expected to participate.

During the four-day conference, research scientist Mike Cammarata of FMC, will present Two Formulation Approaches to Replace Sulfite Ammonia Caramel, a sensory science poster in the Product Development Division, in response to an interest in finding technological and cost competitive suitable alternatives for sulfite ammonia caramel (#4). The presentation (#087-03) will occur on July 14 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The FMC BioPolymer team, located at Booth #2390, will offer samples of gummy candy and hard candy containing FMC Pectin, FMC Carrageenan and FMC Natural Colors, as part of their participation in the “Taste the Expo” portion of the meeting.
