Airborne Media Group Receives 2013 Colorado Companies to Watch Award
Durango, Colorado (PRWEB) July 03, 2013 -- Durango, Colorado based Airborne Media Group, Inc. (AMG) announced today it has received the prestigious Colorado Companies to Watch Award for 2013. AMG received four nominations, including a nomination from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. It was the second youngest company among fifty companies selected from a field of eight hundred nominations. In only its second year of start-up operations the company was selected as a winner with its first application.
The five year old Colorado Companies to Watch Program was developed and is funded in part by the Edward Lowe Foundation and nominees must be Colorado based companies with six to 99 full-time employees that have $750,000 to $50 million in sales or access to capital. Most importantly, according to Colorado Biz Magazine, these companies “must be more than surviving but thriving.”
Airborne Media Group is the creator of Audioair®, the ground breaking technology and mobile app that enables users to selectively listen to muted television displays in private and public environments using their mobile devices. The resulting experience is the foundation for creating mobile, socially interactive communities in a number of vertical markets, such as health clubs, sports bars and restaurants, casinos, and other venues where televisions require their audio to be muted for practical noise considerations. Audioair also has a “second screen” component that serves as a powerful interactive mobile advertising and gaming platform.
AMG Chairman and CEO Cordell Brown commented at the award ceremonies, held in downtown Denver on June 28th, “we are very pleased to be on the stage with so many innovative companies, some decades older than we are, and all of which have made significant contributions to the Colorado economy.” He added, “I want to thank all of the organizations and investors in Colorado who have played critical roles in our start-up, and especially Ed Morlan, Director of Region 9 Economic Development in Durango, and Sam Bailey, Business Development Manager for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. They have brought so much to our table as we have we have endeavored to create Audioair and the Audioair Network."
AMG is now going to market after launching sixty pilot locations in fourteen cities across the Southeast and Southwest. In addition to its headquarters location in Durango, Colorado, the company has opened a design and development office in Sunnyvale, California and a new operations center in Park City, Utah.
