The National Council for Hypnotherapy Responds to Figures Showing Lung Disease in Young Women
(PRWEB UK) 4 July 2013 -- According to The Evening Standard, young women who smoked excessively in their teenage years have developed chronic lung disease usually seen in old men. Many have been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease which can include a variety of diseases including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Symptoms are as severe as lung cancer and can cause chronic breathing problems killing around 30,000 people in the UK every year. Whilst there is no cure, symptoms can be rapidly reduced by stopping smoking.
The news is alarming to those within the health industry including those who are associated with complementary therapies such as hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy has recently become highly converted in aiding smokers to quit by using fresh and unique tactics. A spokesperson from The National Council for Hypnotherapy explained:
“Members of the Council use professional and skilled techniques to help smokers quit by establishing the reason why they smoke and helping to change the way they feel about cigarettes. If worrying numbers of young women are being diagnosed with diseases often associated with the older generation it is only right to use every technique available to help them quit.”
The National Council for Hypnotherapy continues to follow smoking related news.
