Summers Manufacturing First to Feature Mud Scrapers on Rolling Basket Attachments
Devils Lake, ND (PRWEB) July 09, 2013 -- Summers Manufacturing has added internal mud scrapers to its rolling basket attachments for tillage equipment. This new, patent-pending design increases the performance of Summers’ rolling baskets, allowing them to effectively break clods, mix residue and level the soil profile in most field conditions.
The mud scrapers are engineered to alleviate a variety of issues associated with traditional rolling basket designs. Without scrapers, rolling baskets are prone to accumulate with mud, adding significant weight that could cause damage to the unit. Also, rolling baskets are unable to move dirt properly if the paddles are not kept clean.
Featuring a three-piece configuration, the mud scrapers are uniquely mounted inside the rolling baskets. The scrapers can easily be removed for conditions where they are not needed.
The new mud scrapers are offered as standard equipment on Summers’ complete line of rolling basket attachments, offered in 6-, 8- and 10-foot widths. The baskets are used in conjunction with three-bar mounted harrows on the Summers Supercoulter and separate on the 2510 DT to provide an ideal field finishing solution. They can also be installed on a variety of other tillage implements offered by other manufacturers.
Summers Manufacturing offers a “Field Tested Tough” line of tillage equipment, sprayers, land rollers, rock pickers and mounted attachments. For more information, contact Summers Mfg. Co. Inc., P.O.
