Essbase is Goldmine Waiting for Data Prospectors: NYC's Marketing Technologies Group Creates Valuable Webcast on the Strategic Advantage of Using Essbase Application Logs
New York City, NY (PRWEB) July 06, 2013 -- For NYC's Marketing Technologies Group, Essbase application logs are a goldmine waiting for Data Prospectors.
The MTG Webcast "Essbase Tuning: Using the Application Logs" is presented by Rick Sawa, Webcast Presenter, and is designed to show Data Prospectors exactly how to get up and running in a few hours, using a few simple, but effective, tools along with existing skill-sets Essbase users already have.
This Webcast - The July 10th Essbase Technical Webcast "Essbase Tuning: Using the Application Logs" - will get you leveraging your analytic advantage overnight and turning valuable application logs into valuable analytic intelligence. Intelligence that can be useful in many, many ways.
There are three things necessary to acheive this advantage and Rick Sawa, Webcast Presenter, will be presenting them at the Webcast. Simply put, they are:
• How to think about concurrency for Essbase
• How to parse an application log
• How to visualize concurrency
In order to turn application log information to analytic advantage, the Essbaser needs to learn how to perform a concurrency analysis using response times. This Webcast is designed to show you how - in a few hours - to do just that.
What is the objective of tuning Essbase? The essence of Essbase tuning is to ensure that the software is configured to make optimal use of infrastructure resources. This implies a great number of things, not the least of which is that the Administrator is required to control how Essbase is using resources. So where does one begin to tune the Essbase Server if not from an assessment of how Essbase is in fact currently configured?
This webcast will provide a high level overview how to extract information from the Essbase Application logs to draw a picture of the server workload as an optimization starting point. There are many valuable reasons to use application logs to gain insight about the Essbase environment, and this session concentrates on turning response time events into a concurrency analysis.
Whereas almost every mention refers to concurrency as some number of users, here we will be talking about concurrency as the peak number simultaneous requests for CPU time. This session will briefly discuss why concurrency needs to be thought of not only as a number, but is most usefully understood when in Essbase it also includes the element of time.
