Global “Inspirations in Engineering” Competition 2013 announces the names of Jury Members
Herk-de-Stad, Belgium (PRWEB) July 04, 2013 -- The Nemetschek Structural Group announced today the names of the nine jurors that will gather to assess all contest submissions in the biennial “Inspirations in Engineering” contest. Contest entries will be judged on their originality, level of difficulty, prestige and the innovative use of software. Special consideration goes to projects illustrating the best practical application of Open BIM.
This 8th biennial competition is open to all engineering and design companies using software from the Nemetschek Structural Group, which includes any software from Nemetschek Allplan, Nemetschek Scia, Nemetschek Engineering (Precast), Frilo or Glaser. Winners and nominees will be selected in the following categories: Buildings, Civil Structures, Industrial Buildings and Plants, Industrialized Planning and Special Projects.
150 projects were submitted, of which 127 met the contest regulations. These high-quality projects have been submitted by 97 companies from 28 different countries.

The independent multinational jury will deliberate and select the nominees and winning entries in each of the contest categories.
Proclamation of the contest winners
The winners and nominees of the user contest will be announced globally to press and media outlets in the beginning of September. At that same time, we will also publish our Inspirations in Engineering book, in which each project will be covered on a colorful, two-page spread. More than 5,000 hardcover editions of this book will be distributed free of charge. In addition, each winner will be awarded a 1,500 € (USD$1,955) cash prize.
