First Response Training Launches New Website
(PRWEB) July 14, 2013 -- First Response Training, LLC, a lifesaving training company located in West Palm Beach, Florida, announces the launch of its new website at http://www.gotcpr.us. In addition to a blog and instructional videos, the website will feature full course descriptions and an online registration portal through which interested clients can sign up to participate in one of the company’s emergency preparedness classes.
Owners Conor and Faith Devery, who have a combined 35 years of experience in the emergency and medical care field, opened First Response Training in 1991 in order to bring quality CPR and lifesaving education to both medical providers and the non-medical community. "As a result of responding to too many cardiac arrests where CPR was not being provided by family or bystanders, I decided to bring the EMS and teaching experience to the non- medical community by starting this company," says Conor Devery, a fulltime firefighter and paramedic with over 20 years of experience in emergency services and critical care medicine. "As a result of our efforts, over 1,500 non-medical people have been trained in CPR since the company was formed and we look forward to expanding those numbers through the reach and accessibility of our new website. Our clients can now see exactly what courses we’re offering and when they’re being offered, as well as sign up for whatever course they want—all from their laptops at home!"
"We absolutely love what we’re doing," says Faith Devery, who has 15 years of experience as a Pediatric nurse. "I go home from work knowing that what I have done that day has made a difference—possibly a lifesaving difference—in the lives of a lot of people. Teaching these necessary skills not only allows us to give our clients confidence, it also allows our clients to walk away knowing that they can handle emergency situations calmly and rationally. That’s a priceless feeling, especially for anyone who has ever been faced with an emergency situation and wasn’t prepared to step in and help."
Courses available for the non-medical layperson include CPR + AED, Basic First Aid, Pediatric First Aid, Babysitting Course, HIPAA, and Bloodborne Pathogens. Courses available for the medical community and as professional refresher classes include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Electrocardiogram / 12 Lead EKG, HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens and Medical Errors. An online calendar is available through the new website for all courses, allowing clients to choose the time and date that best fits their schedule.
