Norman G. Clark Recognized for 50 Years of Outstanding Service to Horton

Ltd. has been honored with an award for 50 years of outstanding service as a licensed manufacturer and distributor for Horton, Inc. On May 27, 2013 a dinner was held in Melbourne, Australia and the award was presented by Hugh K. Schilling, founder and chairman of the board of directors of Horton Holding, Inc. to Rob Clark, managing director of Norman G. Clark.
The award recognizes Norman G. Clark for over 50 years of outstanding service as a Horton licensee. This successful partnership began in 1963 as Horton Holding, Inc.’s first licensed distributor agreement between John Boyd Clark of Norman G. Clark and Horton’s Mr. Schilling. The partnership started with the manufacture and distribution of Horton industrial clutches to Australian markets and grew to include manufacture and distribution of diesel engine fan clutches throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

The company was established in 1919 in Melbourne, Victoria by Norman Gray Clark, an importer, inventor and merchant of various chemicals and materials for general industry.
