Stephen J. DeCapua, vice-president and chief financial officer of Duo-Corp., and a frequent flyer, will offer tips for traveling with an ostomy during the July meeting of the Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group.
DeCapua oversees financial operations, human resources, insurance and plant safety programs at Duo-Corp., a window manufacturer based in North Lima, and travels frequently on business. He has had an ileostomy since December 2008 and is accustomed to making long trips by car and plane.
The Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group, sponsored by Humility of Mary Health Partners, will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 9 at the HM Home Care office, 979 Tibbetts-Wick Road, Girard.
DeCapua is also active in the community, serving as treasurer of the Canfield Swim & Tennis Club, secretary of the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley and a member of the Classic Cruisers rock n’ roll band.
The Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group meets monthly at alternating locations in Mahoning and Trumbull counties and provides support, education and encouragement to individuals who have or will have ostomies.
