Bozeman, MT (PRWEB) July 05, 2013 -- The new TomTom Runner GPS watch will be stocked by the Heart Rate Watch Company and available August 1st with pre-orders being accepted.
"We are excited to have the new TomTom GPS watches because they fill a void in the marketplace for a very easy to use product for the less technically oriented user," says Rusty Squire, President of the Heart Rate Watch Company. He adds, "The high screen resolution and single button simplicity will be appealing for many users."
FEATURES
"TomTom fixes GPS satellites for much faster acquisition times, as short as 15 seconds, so your run is unaffected by waiting for satellites to be acquired," says Squire. He adds, "This is one of the coolest features about this new GPS watch."
The quality screen resolution makes reading data from the watch much easier than many predecessors according to Squire.
A LIGHT WEIGHT BATTLE
The TomTom Runner GPS watch weighs a mere 1.75 ounces. "This is ideal for runners because weight on the end of your wrist is active weight so it really matters," says Squire. He adds, "It beats the Garmin Forerunner 210 by .05 ounces to win the fully functional, light weight GPS crown."
"While the company's software needs some improvement you can export data to third party software and we think TomTom will evolve this software as time moves forward," says Squire.
THE GPS WATCH FOR WOMEN
Due to the light weight and the striking look of the dark pink version, Squire feels this watch will become popular among women looking for a lighter and more fashionable GPS watch for running.
The watch will be available August 1st and the Heart Rate Watch Company is accepting orders on the base Runner GPS watch for $169.95 and the heart rate monitor version for $219.95. The watch comes in grey and a dark pink.
