Salford Digital Village to open by Media Agency Group’s Manchester office
(PRWEB UK) 5 July 2013 -- Property development firm Capital & Centric PLC are awaiting confirmation for their proposed plans to build a 40,000sq ft business development, designed to stand within the vicinity of the BBC’s new MediaCity home in the heart of Salford.
Lee Dentith comments on the proposed digital village.
Dubbed ‘Digital Village’, the location would see up to 12 business units running along the waterside of Manchester Ship Canal, providing media connections with MediaCity and also central Manchester. Expected to generate 100 employment opportunities, the contemporary space has been described by Capital & Centric PLC co-founder Adam Higgins as something that “really works for the new generation of digital and media companies that are now basing themselves in Salford and Manchester.”
Media Agency Group CEO Lee Dentith said:
“The proposed development outlines a fantastic method of allowing Greater Manchester’s digital industry to blossom further, taking the city closer towards its London counterpart thanks to a constant growth of business and innovation. The location is just over 1 mile from the existing MediaCity site, meaning that additional companies would enjoy the benefit of being within proximity of this iconic digital hub, making ‘Digital Village’ a welcome extension to an already thriving area. The creation of jobs presents an additional benefit, particularly for the pending influx of fresh talent from local graduates."
