With current technology on billboards, the problem has been the smooth rotating operation of the panels, which limited the designs to a 3 sided prism called Tri-Vision. This allowed 3 campaigns, yet could show only one at a time per set of prisms. Now both problems have been overcome with the patented design presented for auction by IpAuctions, Inc.
The issue had been the clashing or colliding of the corners of the prisms during rotation. The solution was to have the panels ‘off-set’ themselves before rotation, thus creating not only a smooth rotation, it creates four ‘advertising’ panel sets, allowing the ability to show two campaigns at one time and utilizing both sides of a billboard. The patented design allows for the integration of LED technology, increasing its cost effectiveness as well as utilizing already existing tri-face systems which could easily switch to this multi-side system using their existing maintenance equipment.
With advertising on both sides of the billboard instead of the limited one side with the traditional tri-vision, the advantages are self-evident with the increased advertising exposure by 50%.
