Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- On July 13th New Yorkers can enjoy a community gluten-free Celebrate Celiac™ event at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel from 10 am to 1 pm hosted by Gluten Free Calendar. Guests will enjoy meeting and mingling with others who are living gluten-free by choice, with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity. They will also meet wonderful celiac friendly businesses like Pala Pizza, Purely Elizabeth and Lovely Lady Products. The $5 entry includes samples from vendors, full size gluten-free baked goods courtesy of a local dedicated gluten-free bakery, a kids fun zone that features face painting and an art station and prizes like gluten-free cookbooks, product and gift cards. Special guests for the event include Miss New Jersey International 2013 Jenna Drew, former arena football player and inductee into the American Football Hall of Fame Craig Pinto who is also the founder of the non-profit organization kicking4celiac.org and Jaquy Yngvason a professional food stylist and chef who recently appeared on Food Network's Chopped. Each lives with celiac disease and work diligently to raise celiac awareness. Guests can also meet and ask questions to local gluten-free bloggers and support group leaders who will be at the event. "I'm very excited for the opportunity to work with Gluten Free Calendar and promote celiac disease awareness to the ever-growing community that must live a gluten-free lifestyle. It's truly organizations like GFC and individuals sharing their personal journeys who are making information and resources more readily available to those newly discovering the gluten-free diet," said Jenna Drew, Miss New Jersey International 2013 whose platform is celiac disease awareness.
This event will take place at the Affinia Manhattan Hotel-371 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY in the Astor Hall from 10am-1pm on Saturday July 13, 2013. The first 250 attendees will receive a gift bag to carry their gluten-free goodies. Title Sponsors are Udis Gluten Free and Glutino.
