hybris Appoints Bart Hecht as Senior Vice President Enterprise Solutions and Sales Operations, Americas
Chicago (PRWEB) July 08, 2013 -- hybris, the world’s fastest-growing commerce platform provider ranked “leader” by both principal analyst firms, announces today the appointment of Bart Hecht as senior vice president of enterprise solutions and sales operations, Americas. Hecht joins hybris from Levi Strauss & Co., where he worked closely with hybris to bring the retailer into the digital and e-commerce sectors. He is responsible for overseeing strategic change in North and South America to improve annual sales productivity and operational efficiencies.
A seasoned executive with nearly a decade of experience in e-commerce, Hecht joins hybris following three years as vice president chief technology officer, digital and e-commerce at Levi Strauss & Co., where he helped transition the retailer into the global and digital organization it is today. During this time, he received two Levi Strauss & Co. Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding individual and organizational achievements for the work associated with transformational digital services and operational excellence. Hecht also delivered the technology, vision and business alliances that captured the No. 2 ranking in the InformationWeek 500 list of companies – a first for Levi Strauss & Co.
“I worked with hybris on the customer side, and was impressed with the company’s culture,” said Hecht. “In my career, I constantly strive to find transformational opportunities and I was immediately taken by hybris’ drive for excellence, focus on products and countless contributions to B2B and B2C e-commerce. Working at hybris gives me the opportunity to be part of a highly influential company in the e-commerce space.”
Hecht has worked in e-commerce and digital commerce since its inception. Prior to Levi Strauss & Co., Hecht served as vice president digital media product development, NBC Universal (NBCU) and General Electric (GE). In this role, Hecht helped build brand awareness, market penetration and sales opportunities across multiple consumer demographics for all digital media properties at NBCU. He also built and institutionalized NBCU’s premier streaming video player for all entertainment, sports and local news sites. During his time at NBCU, Hecht’s organization received Edison Awards two years running, which recognize the most innovative new products, services and business leaders in America. Hecht also held several leadership roles at GE, including corporate chief technology officer.
“Bart’s extensive commerce and technology experience paired with a customer-centric business strategy positions hybris for continued success in the Americas and worldwide,” said Steven Kramer, executive vice president sales, Americas, hybris. “In the past, B2B and B2C businesses had the option to choose between an in-store or online customer experience, but this is no longer the case. Bart understands that our customers need a flexible commerce platform for future growth and adoption of new technologies across channels – including mobile, online and in-store.”
Hecht received a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York.
