Rovio, Samsung and Major League Soccer Headline Tablet Conference August 15-16 in Seattle
Washington DC (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- MoDev, the global connector of developers, designers and mobile providers announced today that they are hosting MoDevTablet August 15-17, 2013 – an industry-leading mobile event with workshops, a conference and high-stakes Hackathon. The event will also feature a Cascadia Cup-themed Disruptathon event to identify the city with the most disruptive mobile startup community among Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. The conference takes place at the beautiful Bell Harbor Conference Center located on the downtown waterfront. MoDevTablet is a rare Tablet-specific event for web and mobile developers, software engineers, designers and marketers to gather and learn from industry leaders, key speakers and rising stars across the tech industry.
The Tablet schedule includes deep-drive workshops on Thursday August 15th; premier keynotes, interviews and panel discussions with global industry leaders on Friday August 16th, a high-stakes Hackathon Friday August 17th, and a Cascadia Cup-themed Disruptathon competition right before the closing keynote on Friday.
Conference speakers include executives and thought leaders such as Phil Hickey, VP Marketing for Rovio (Angry Birds); Curtis Sasaki, SVP at Samsung; and Chris Bettin from Major League Soccer. Additional speakers include executives from Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and Capital One. A full list of speakers, as well as a complete schedule can be found at http://www.modevtablet.com
The Tablet Disruptathon is modeled after the Cascadia Cup – a fan-based soccer trophy awarded to the team with the highest point total in soccer matches between Seattle, Vancouver and Portland. The Disruptathon Cascadia Edition will pit three companies from each city against each other to compete in front of a panel of tech press and celebrity guest judges. The highest-scoring company will receive a $10,000 sponsorship package and the winning team will receive the Disruptathon Cascadia –Edition trophy.
