Sharan Sunkara Appointed Director of EHR and EPM Implementation at MedTek Systems LLC
Auburn, Alabama (PRWEB) July 29, 2013 -- Mr. Sharan Sunkara is an experienced IT professional possessing a solid healthcare background with several years of experience administering EHR and EPM implementations to medical practices, clinic and hospitals. Based on this knowledge and expertise, Sharan has recently been appointed as the Director of EHR and EPM Implementation for MedTek Systems LLC serving the healthcare technology needs of MedTek’s clients.
His core strengths include listening carefully and intently to the client in order to identify areas of immediate and future need, matching these needs to the proper IT healthcare solutions and integrating MedTek’s solutions seamlessly into the physician’s busy workplace and culture. Prior to joining MedTek, Sharan had most recently worked with Madison Ridgeland Medical Clinic in Ridgeland, of Madison, Mississippi, a large physician group to which he successfully delivered and implemented two different EHR systems and completed the interfaces to the designated hospital systems. Sharan also has attested to Medicare in successfully completing Stage 1 of Meaningful Use. Sharan led the group in obtaining Phase 1 Meaningful Use and the group had received their federal payments, one of the first clinics in Madison to do so. He also helped them prepare for Phase 2 prior to his departure and now brings this level of expertise, value and success to MedTek’s clients.
He has significant experience creating and designing customized templates and forms for physicians to use in the EHR/EMR transition process. He has trained physicians in voice recognition software and managed servers and databases for multiple clinical environments. Sharan also brings to MedTek a keen ability to create secure VPN environments for physicians to remotely access their patient records and data. Sharan possesses proficiency in McKesson Practice Partners and Vitera Intergy’s EMR/EHR systems. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Jackson State University in December of 2010. He also has a multilingual capability adeptly and fluidly speaking Spanish, Mandarin, Telugu, and Hindi.
