Lifestyle and relationship expert Lissa Coffey teams with BSC to educate those wanting a good night’s sleep.

A quality mattress is literally the foundation for a good night’s rest, so we wanted to create a video that helps consumers find the mattress of their dreams.

Pillowtop, memory foam, innersprings, gel, air-adjustable, waterbeds—the selection seems endless. When shopping for a new mattress, many consumers feel overwhelmed when trying to narrow down their search and understand the comprehensive technology involved in the construction of today’s quality mattresses. That’s why the consumer education group, the Better Sleep Council (BSC), worked with lifestyle and relationship expert Lissa Coffey, to create a “how-to” video that simplifies the mattress buying process.

“If it’s been awhile since you’ve shopped for a mattress, the assortment of choices available to consumers can be downright overwhelming,” noted BSC Director of Communications Karin Mahoney. “A quality mattress is literally the foundation for a good night’s rest, and this video is designed to help consumers find the mattress of their dreams.”

The 90-second video is one in a series that the BSC created to help consumers find a new mattress that is right for them, as well as give tips on how to get a great night’s rest. The video discusses the importance of “rest testing” a new bed, some of the technical terms retail stores use in their marketing, and most importantly, how mattress preference is completely subjective and unique to each consumer.
