Wellcentive Solution to Support Clinically Integrated Network in Kansas
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- Wellcentive, an Atlanta-based provider of innovative Population Health Management and Data Analytics solutions, today announced that it has been retained by Specialty Independent Practice Association of Kansas (SIPAK) to facilitate clinical integration, manage pay-for-performance programs and support the Physician Alliance of Kansas (PAK), a clinically integrated network (CIN) with primary care physicians. PAK has filed its notice of intent to apply to become a CMS Shared-Savings Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in 2014.
PAK is a 231-physician CIN jointly owned and operated by Primary Care Physicians and SIPAK based in Wichita, Kansas. The CIN will employ Wellcentive-powered data analytics and reporting to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of its services to patients and to support new contracts with payers as well as the CMS Shared-Savings ACO program. Wellcentive was selected after an extensive review of competing organizations due to its unique ability to integrate and aggregate data from a large number of disparate systems.
“The shift from fee-for-service to pay-for-performance is undeniable and growing in momentum,” said Adam Flynn, MD, who serves as chairman of the organization’s IT Committee. “We conducted an aggressive search, but we didn’t find another firm that had Wellcentive’s capability to transcend and activate data from so many different sources.”
Under the terms of the agreement, SIPAK purchased a Wellcentive Solution that includes Data Analytics and Outcomes Manager for both the CIN primary care and specialty care physicians.
“The market demands a new delivery approach, one where information and knowledge are at the core of driving enduring improvements,” said Terry Boch, Wellcentive’s Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing. “PAK/SIPAK are forward- thinking organizations committed to realizing that potential. We are excited to be working with them.”
PAK/SIPAK is Wellcentive’s first client in Kansas, one that extends the company’s growing national footprint.
“We have seen a growing understanding and acceptance of our products among visionary organizations, said Paul D. Taylor, M.D., Chief Medical Information Officer and Wellcentive co-founder. “We are very well positioned to help them become highly performing organizations by unlocking the actionable information that empowers market-leading care delivery.”
