Professional Audiological Services Announces Acceptance of Medicaid
Memphis, TN (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Memphis-based Professional Audiological Services is proud to announce they are the only audiological clinic to accept medicaid in the state of Tennessee. By becoming a Medicaid provider, Professional Audiological Services provides parents with affordable solutions for treating their child's hearing impairment.
According to hearingloss.org, an estimated 30 out of 1,000 school-aged children suffer from some degree of hearing loss. Without proper diagnosis, parents run the risk of delaying their child’s language, academic, and social development skills. To assist parents with the medical costs, Professional Audiological Services opted to become a provider of Medicaid through TennCare, the state of Tennessee’s Medicaid Program. Parents seeking an audiologist should be made aware Medicaid will not cover all charges; however, Medicaid will completely cover the cost of hearing aids.
“Professional Audiological Services specializes in diagnosing and treating individuals of all ages. However, it is our emphasis on treating pediatric hearing loss that makes a difference in what we do!” - Dr. Loretta Coltharp
With this announcement, Professional Audiological Services hopes to make more families aware of their affiliation with TennCare and the importance of seeking treatment for childhood hearing loss early on.
