Envirosight Announces New Sled Design for Patent-pending JetScan™ Video Nozzle; Handles Larger Diameters, Maintains Upright Footage
Randolph, NJ (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- JetScan™, the quick, easy way for a sewer cleaning crew to see inside buried pipe, now features a new sled design that keeps footage smooth and upright, and which can be outfitted with extension rollers to handle larger-diameter lines. The new stainless steel sled attaches directly to any 1” jetter hose (or ¾” with available adapter), and has six propulsion nozzles, up to four of which can be swapped with blanks to achieve desired thrust versus water consumption. The sled allows viewing in pipes 8-15” diameter, or beyond 15” with optional roller extensions attached.
“JetScan answers the basic questions a cleaning crew encounters on any job: what tools to use, what hazards and defects exist, and whether cleaning has been successful,” says Richard Lindner, President of Envirosight. “It doesn’t replace CCTV inspection, but it gives valuable, timely information cleaning crews need—without tying up a separate TV truck, and more simply and reliably than with costlier jetter cameras.”
The new sled technology was developed in conjunction with StoneAge, Inc., a world leader in water blast cleaning equipment and tools, and is manufactured at their Durango, CO facility. “When Envirosight approached us to partner on this product, we didn’t have to think twice,” says Bill Shires, Director of Marketing and Business Development. “They share our strong focus on innovation, and I knew combining our expertise and engineering talent would yield a winning product.”
As JetScan™ advances down pipe, it records 720p HD video in MPEG format to an onboard 32GB SDHC memory card. Immediately afterward, the card can be removed and video viewed on an iPad or other SDHC-compatible device. It’s affordable enough to put on every cleaning truck, yet captures valuable HD video footage from underground that can be viewed immediately afterward.
