Mario Madness Video Game Marathon to Support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) July 12, 2013 -- Beginning at 5:30 p.m. PST on Friday, July 12, the Mario Madness team will be playing Mario games for three days straight and broadcasting the games live from their website, http://www.mariomadness.com.
Participation in the event is as simple as going to the website and watching the team as they work their way through Mario video games.
Donations can be made on the website and all donations go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, therefore any gifts contributed will be tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.
The more donations collected on the website, the more Mario video games that will be unlocked for the Mario Madness team to play.
The event is designed to be completely audience interactive. There will be a live chat on the website so anyone can contribute to the success of the event. During the event prizes will be awarded to members of the audience. Once certain donation goals are met, audience members will be able to suggest hilarious activities for members of the team to do. For example, in a prior event one of the members of the team ate a lemon as one would eat an apple by request of a member of the audience.
Mario Madness is an independent fan run event. Mario Madness is an approved event working in full partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with the goal of raising $10,000.
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of the founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
