Megadyne Announces Multi-Year Agreement with Intermountain Healthcare: Megadyne to Provide Intermountain Healthcare with Electrosurgical Equipment and Accessories
Draper, Utah (PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- Megadyne Medical Products, a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of electrosurgical products, today announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Intermountain Healthcare, an internationally recognized nonprofit health system, to provide electrosurgical equipment and accessories. While the two companies have worked together for over eight years, the agreement broadens the Megadyne product offering.
Under the terms of the agreement, Intermountain, will offer Megadyne’s complete line of electrosurgical accessories, including the E-Z Clean® line of non-stick electrosurgical tips, the Mega Soft® Reusable Patient Return Electrode, ACE® Blade and other electrosurgical accessories to its facilities. The equipment contract includes Megadyne’s Mega Power® Electrosurgical Generator, and the carts and foot switches associated with the products.

The Megadyne products will be available for hospital staff throughout the Intermountain organization, according to Trent West, Category Manager for Intermountain’s Supply Chain Organization. “This partnership aligns with our efforts to provide excellent medical care while working to be efficient in how we manage our supplies and expenses,” West said.

Active Electrodes
Megadyne offers nearly 40 different non-stick E-Z Clean® PTFE-coated tip configurations and sizes to meet the needs of electrosurgery procedures.
Pencils
Pencil hand pieces direct energy to the active electrode and are available in button and rocker styles. Hand pieces can be purchased as disposable or limited reuse.
Return Electrodes
The innovative current limiting Mega Soft® is simply set on the operating room table, eliminating the small, disposable electrosurgical sticky pads that can damage the patient’s skin. Used in over 50 million procedures with zero pad site burns.
Mega Power® Electrosurgical Generators
